Laura Wilson - Instructor

Laura started dancing at the age of 4, and took part in dance competitions, and shows yearly at the Hull New Theatre, where she realised her growing passion for dance. At the age of 16 she completed a 3 year Professional Performing Arts Diploma graduating with distinction, before then pursuing a career in professional dance! She landed her first job as a showgirl dancer in Tenerife and the rest was history. Over the subsequent years she travelled internationally, landing contracts in different parts of the world performing and teaching along the way. As well as starring in a multitude of music videos, her dance experience has been incredibly varied. From being a showgirl in Italy to being a dancer and choreographer in Bollywood. Between dance contracts she decided to develop her dance experience further - this is where her passion for pole dance began. Laura arrived back in the UK in March 2013 after deciding to put down some roots and have a break from dancing her way around the world. This is when she took fitness and Pole instructor qualifications to be able to teach and pass on her knowledge and love for dance! Over the last 4-5 years Laura has taught pole dance, ballet flow and splits classes at the wonderful Studio Boutique in Hull. Not forgetting dancing in her first pole competition at the Lincolnshire Pole Championships and winning! She has also taken further qualifications in, X-pert levels 1, 2, 3, and 4, Pre & Post Natal Fitness and Personal Training. She's also a qualified Nutritional Adviser, Laura is excited to bring her style of pole and much more to The Jewels Academy.

Giorgia Bache - Dance Teacher

Ever since the young age of 5 I have always danced. I started off doing Freestyle Disco dancing, it wasn't until I was 14 that I knew I wanted my passion to become my career and to do so I needed to be versatile. I began my contemporary dance training as a member of the DanceXChange Centre for Advanced Training Scheme under the Artistic Direction of Rosie Kay. This is where I got to work with internationally acclaimed choreographers at theatres and festivals such as: Birmingham Patrick Centre, Crescent Theatre and Birmingham International Dance Festival. I also was an original member of the pilot project and founding year of RDC Youth in 2013 for 2 years. My own choreography with this company was performed on Main Stage of Birmingham Pride 2014.
Alongside my intensive weekend training schedule, throughout the week I also studied at Birmingham Ormiston Academy (BOA), which is where I found my love for Commercial dance. I got to perform at Free Radio Live LG Arena and NEC Skills Show. Gained a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Dance.
I successfully gained a place at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London and continued my studies for 3 years, I got to perform multiple times at the biggest theatre in London ‘Bonnie Bird Theatre’ which is within my university itself. I graduated with a Honours Degree in July 2018. Since I have been back in Birmingham I have been teaching, working and performing.
